"Pratyancha", the social diffusion strategy competition was conducted jointly by National Innovation Foundation (NIF) and SIGMA as part of XLRI's annual flagship event "Ensemble" today, 26th January 2008. Six finalist teams presented their diffusion plans for innovations from NIF like amphibious bicycle, natural water cooler, automatic design making machine, hand operated water pump, improved varieties of wheat, rice etc to a panel of distinguished judges which included Mr. Rajiv Pandey - Director, Social Upliftment Trust, Mr. Anshu Gupta - Founder, The Goonj, Ms Shubra Diwedi - Chief Executive, SEEDS, Dr. Santanu Gupta - Professor of Economics, XLRI and Mr. Amitabh Ghosh - Regional Head, Kalamandhir. The learning value derived from this unique competition was particularly appreciated by the participants and the judges. The event was won jointly by teams from XLRI and VGSOM - IIT Kharagpur.
