XLRI's Personnel Management and Industrial Relations course is renowned as the best Human Resources course in the Asia-Pacific. Thus, it is no surprise that the event jointly organized by the Forum for Industrial Relations @ XLRI (FIRE@X) and the Student Association for the Promotion of Personal Management, Human Resources and Industrial Relations (SAPPHIRE) with support from ITC promises to be one of the best HR events in the region. And with prize money to the tune of one lakh Rupees up for grabs, there will be no lack of participants.

War of Wits is a stimulating assortment of challenging situations bound together by the constraints of time, money and most importantly, human resource. Teams of five will battle it out making decisions in tough situations. The event will constantly test the participants on their knowledge of HR, planning, decision making, and negotiation skills in a dynamic environment.

The situations include a case study requiring decisions on various HR aspects, a business quiz, Block and Tackle (debate), a simulated consultancy assignment, a fact finding exercise and a collective bargaining situation.
